Chipman Glasser is pleased to announce that Rin Karns has joined the firm. Rin is a seasoned commercial litigator with a depth of experience with high stakes oil and gas exploration and production disputes. An attorney since 2006, Rin will leverage her extensive litigation background on behalf of Chipman Glasser’s clients. Her background includes multiple shareholder and private company disputes, including business divorces, litigation on disclosure and non-compete agreements and trade secret disputes. She has also managed real estate and construction litigation disputes, including work representing general contractors in construction defect and breach of contract matters.
Before joining Chipman Glasser, Rin worked with area law firms handling a variety of natural resources disputes including royalty disputes, quiet title, access issues, and conflicts among working interest owners.She has experience in the unique aspects of mergers and acquisitions involving mineral property, including conducting due diligence, and drafting purchase and sale agreements, escrow instructions, and joint operating agreements.
As an appellate attorney, Rin has represented clients in front of the Wyoming Supreme Court on many occasions. From 2009 to 2012, Rin served as the Bar Commissioner for the Seventh Judicial District of Wyoming, working to improve the administration of justice, and to maintain high standards of integrity and conduct on the part of those engaged in the practice of law.
